TENTATIVE PROGRAM

The actual SiWEDS Program will start on Friday, October 22nd, 1999. However, a social dinner is planned for the evening of October 21st for all SiWEDS members and participants. Details regarding this event (time, location and how to get there) will be published on this Web-site, as soon as available.

The final program for Friday, October 22nd is not yet available, but the time schedule will be more or less the same as the Fall program of 1998 at MIT. This Web-site will be updated with a more detailed time schedule of the program in the first week of October.

In addition to the usual program reviews for each university site, there will be two focus sessions: One will deal with modeling and simulation, while the other will involve short presentations from representatives of other consortia, with a strong interest in silicon wafer issues. In particular, Sematech (Huff/Goodall), IMEC (Cor Claeys), NREL (Sopori), as well an informal international photovoltaic group to be represented by Prof. Saito of Tokyo A&T who will give a presentation entitled "Suppression of Light-Induced Minority-Carrier Degradation in B and Ga-doped CZ Wafers using viewgraphs". Possible benefits of inter-consortia activities will then be discussed.

Finally, a general discussion of the outcome of the "white paper" proposal process will be held.
