The Fall 1999 SiWEDS Review meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency hotel  in Phoenix Arizona. The actual  SiWEDS Program will start on Friday, October 27th, 2000. However a social dinner, or dinner buffet similar to the dinner at the Spring meeting in Portland, is planned for all all SiWEDS members and participants for the evening of  October 26th . Both events will be held at  the Hyatt Regency. More details about exact location, theme, program , time schedule and how to get there will be published on this web-site, as soon as the details are coming available.

The  program will follow the general format of previous Fall meetings . Suggestions for non-SiWEDS speakers should be submitted to George Rozgonyi at NC State University. 

All those planning to attend the meeting need to make their own reservations with the Hyatt Regency Hotel. As this meeting has been arranged to segue The Electrochemical Society 198th  meeting at the Phoenix Civic Plaza (next to the Hyatt Regency hotel) we will receive the same reduced rate accommodation as the attendees of the ECS meeting .

The Hyatt Regency reservations telephone number is (602) 252-1234, toll free (800) 233-1234, or fax (602) 440-3174 . The deadline for reservations is September 29, 2000. Reservations received after the deadline will only be accepted on a space available basis. The special ECS meeting rates are:

    Single Occupancy   - $147         

    Double Occupancy - $167  

  To obtain the special convention rates listed above (standard rate is $265), you must either call and mention that you are planning to attend the ECS meeting, or go to the Hyatt Regency Phoenix's web site http://www.hyatt.com/pages/p/phxrpa.html to make your reservation on-line under "Rates and Reservations". ECS meeting attendees have been assigned the "SRC number" G-ELSO, which must be entered on the on-line form to receive the special discounted conference rates.

Furthermore, I would like to urge the attendees to complete and submit the "MEETING REGISTRATION FORM"(click on).  Because, I need to know as soon as possible the amount of attendees, in order to plan the logistics of the meeting.
