SiWEDS Spring 2002 Review Meeting May 9-10 at NCSU
The Spring 2002 SiWEDS Review meeting will be held at the Centennial Campus of the North Carolina State University. George Rozgonyi will host the meeting. The technical SiWEDS program will start on Thursday, May 9, 2002 at 7:45am with a continental breakfast in the meeting room. On Thursday evening there will be a social gathering for all SiWEDS members and meeting participants. George will also host this buffet dinner at his home in Raleigh Historic District. Transportation from the campus to George's house will be on board of an "Old Time Trolley", as well as the return to the hotel after the dinner buffet. .Adjournment is planned for Friday, May 10 at 4:30pm. The program will follow the general format of previous SiWEDS Spring meetings, with progress presentations from professors, post-docs and students on current SiWEDS projects. For more details about keynote speakers see the "Tentative Program". This tentative program will be updated, if additional information becomes available. On Wednesday, May 8, in the afternoon, the NCSU Analytical Instrumentation Facility and clean room will be available for a visit by early arriving meeting attendees. Please mark "NCSU lab facilities" on the Meeting Registration form, if you intend to participate.
For meeting attendees we have arranged the following special rate at the Holiday Inn "Brownstone" hotel, which is a few minutes drive from the Centennial campus. All those planning to attend the meeting need to make their own reservations with the hotel. The hotel reservation numbers are:

- Complete "Arrival Date" (May 8 or May 9), "Nights" (if arrival on May 8,one or two; if arrival on May 9, one), "Number of Persons",
"Number of Rooms". Than enter "Group Booking Code": SIW, and click on "Check Availability".
- Now you will get the hotel reservation rate, and you have to click on "Reserve" for your choose.
- Complete your "Guest Information" and "Confirm"
The hotel can be reached from the airport by a complimentary hotel shuttle bus. Request for the shuttle bus has to be made from the RDU airport at arrival time by phoning (pay phone or cellular) the hotel reservation (828-0811).This will take about 35 minutes.
Special Rate - Single or Double Occupancy - $74 per night. Breakfast is not included
The deadline for reservations is April 23, 2002. In order to obtain the special SiWEDS rate listed above (standard rate is $100+), you need to mention that you are planning to attend the "SiWEDS meeting". Reservations after the deadline are only accepted on an availability base. For your convenience we have arranged transportation from the hotel to the meeting building by hotel shuttle bus on Thursday and Friday morning (~5minutes). However, you have to sign up for this shuttle bus at the hotel reception desk upon arrival. Fore those attendees traveling by car click on hotel directions/map. Furthermore, I would like to urge the attendees to complete and submit the "MEETING REGISTRATION FORM" (click on), since we need to know as soon as possible the number of attendees to facilitate further logistics of the meeting.
