Students Win Best Poster Award
Two materials science and engineering students received first place in the student poster session at the Flex Tech Alliance’s 2010 Flexible Electronics and Displays Conference.
Victor Martinez and Daniela Morales were honored for their poster titled “PMMA/SiO2 hybrid films as gate dielectrics and permeation barriers for flexible electronics.”
Each is working on a PhD in materials science and engineering under Dr. Manuel Quevedo-Lopez, a research professor of materials science and engineering, and Dr. Ramirez-Bon of the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados in Mexico City.
The Flex Conference is the leading North American event focused on flexible and printed electronics. The conference attracted about 500 executives, managers, engineers, educators and scientists from around the world with more than 100 presentations regarding both technology and business.
