Fall Fling – Semester Kickoff

We opened the fall semester with a celebration! Students and professors enjoyed food and games with each other, competing and having fun before the hard work of the semester begins. Our motto is play hard, work harder. Our students and professors work very hard, so they deserve a little fun now and then!

Lunch and Learns

We are committed to fostering a spirit of understanding and community in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. We have invited our new faculty to present their research to our staff and current professors, and we’ve also heard from our youngest researchers. Dr. Su and Dr. Brenner discussed their work, and we also enjoyed a presentation from our Uzbek interns on the lovely country of Uzbekistan, its culture and history.
