nanoart-in-motion exhibition

This exhibit showcased the dynamic fusion of NanoArt with meticulously choreographed dance movements. Through a bespoke Augmented Reality (AR) app, smartphone users could vividly experience this captivating synergy. For the Nano Art experience: https://moonkim.org/inmotion/.

Fall kickoff

We had an incredible time at our Fall Welcome Back Party. The afternoon was filled with laughter, delicious fall treats, and the highlight of the afternoon was Bingo! The department that plays bingo together does great research together!

metrology workshop

Metrology is increasingly critical in advancing semiconductor technology, especially as we venture into new and emerging domains. The metrology workshop aimed to unite key stakeholders from local industries and academic institutions across North Texas. This collaborative effort focused on identifying and addressing the metrology needs specific to our area. Paving the way for establishment of a Regional Semiconductor Metrology Center. This was the work of MSE Professor Dr. Moon Kim.

Our Lunch and Learn event introduced new undergraduate certificates to Engineering and Computer Science Advisors. During the session, advisors had the opportunity to explore the curriculum, understand the career prospects, and learn about the unique advantages these certificates offer to students. Our expert faculty provided in-depth insights and answered numerous questions, ensuring that advisors are well equipped to guide their students towards theses new academic opportunities.

The Materials Science and Engineering department was excited to participate in the First Generation Information Fair, an event dedicated to supporting first-generation college students in their academic and professional journeys. This fair is a unique opportunity for students to explore the dynamic field of materials  science and engineering, learn about the cutting-edge research and educational opportunities available  and connect with faculty and current students.

The Great Minds in STEM Conference  Graduate and Professional Fair is a pivotal event dedicated to empowering under- represented  minorities by providing them with invaluable access to graduate school opportunities. This fair is a cornerstone for fostering diversity and inclusion within the STEM fields, offering a platform where students can connect with top-tier universities, and learn about advanced degree programs, and gain insights into the application process.
