Our Team
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering is a growing department and an exciting place for faculty and staff to work on the cutting-edge research focus on nanoelectronics, photovoltaics, batteries and supercapacitors, atomically precise manufacturing, nanosize coatings and materials for biomedical applications. More than half of our faculty have prior industrial experience and almost all have strong current industrial collaborations. Some faculty members come from government labs and others directly from academia, and many faculty from other departments are affiliated with materials science and engineering.
