Overview

Dr. Addou lab is equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced tools and techniques for the deposition and characterization of materials critical to advanced semiconductor devices. The lab also focuses on engineering surfaces and interfaces to meet the specific requirements of emerging technologies, improve the performance of existing devices, and explore new materials and technologies.

His research program is focused on several key areas: (i) investigating surfaces and interfaces of low-dimensional materials, including 2D materials, topological insulators, quantum materials, and metal oxides; (ii) studying the interface chemistry and physics of 2D materials with metals and dielectrics to address integration challenges in 2D device technology; and (iii) designing and constructing 1D, 2D, and 3D nanostructures.

Dr. Addou research explores material surfaces and interfaces for a wide range of applications, from nanoelectronics and quantum computing to energy and space. Through precise surface and interface engineering, the goal is to advance the development of new technologies and optimize existing ones.
